I stand, watching life roll by,
Walking dejectedly under a grey sky.
I know I never should have believed such a lie,
Yet I had no choice, did I?
Sure, they say kind words of joy,
But, honestly, they manipulate you like a toy.
Yet, though they seem so coy,
All they want to do is lie to an innocent boy.
Even though they say tomorrow will be another good day,
Tomorrow is just another day to believe the lies they say.
So sure, I’ve been lied to in every way,
But I can hardly stand not to stay.
What is the problem with their words that make you fall?
Their evil sentences, lies all!
Words that make a cage that I appall,
Words that stop me as effectively as a wall.
The Earth can be a miserable place,
When evil is masked under every human face.
What is wrong with this godforsaken race?
Progressing towards death at a ridiculous pace?

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
